Rick Price - Hevean Knows

Heaven Knows/Listen To Your Heart
Rick Price (born July 6, 1961) is an Australian singer and songwriter.
Price was born in Beaudesert, a small country town near Brisbane, Queensland. He began playing music at the age of nine appearing with his family band "Union Beau". At eighteen Price escaped to Sydney and continued working as a musician, playing bass with various inner city outfits and landing the occasional bit of studio and touring work. During the mid 80s Rick turned his focus more towards his singing. His distinctive vocals were soon in demand and in 1988 he was invited to sing "Celebration of a Nation", the theme song for Australia's Bicentennial. This opportunity helped lay the foundations for his solo career.
Price began writing his own material in the late 80s and "Not A Day Goes By" was the first. This single released in February 1992 received saturation radio and video play, climbing to number 5 on the national charts where it spent 20 weeks in the Australian top 100. In March 1992 the second single Heaven Knows was released in Australia it was another top 10 hit #6 for 14 weeks going gold.

Master's Apprentices - Choice Cuts

Rio De Camero/Michael/Easy To Lie/Because I Love You/Catty/Our Friend Owsley Stanley III/Death Of A King/Song For A Lost Gypsy/ I'm Your Satisfier/Song For Joey Part II

The Masters Apprentices were an Australian rock band fronted by mainstay Jim Keays on lead vocals, which formed in 1965 in Adelaide, South Australia, relocated to Melbourne in February 1967 and attempted to break into the United Kingdom market from 1970, before disbanding in 1972. Their popular Australian singles are "Undecided", "Living in a Child's Dream", "5:10 Man", "Think About Tomorrow Today", "Turn Up Your Radio" and "Because I Love You".

Easily one of the best Austrlalian albums of the seventies had the Masters not been an Australian band and been perhaps an English band I'm sure that this would have been huge overseas. The band cites one of the reasons for it not being a hit in the UK as distance they recorded the album in England returned home found out the album was getting airplay and by the time they were able to get back there the momentum was gone. The Master's Apprentices were and still are one of the great Australian Bands.

Aztec have re-released the first album and you can get it here so do yourself a favour and go out and buy it.
